Work progressing on ‘Heidi’s Corner,’ grand opening set for June

WMBFNews.com, Myrtle Beach/Florence SC, Weather MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Work is progressing on “Heidi’s Corner,” a new building going up on 82nd Avenue North that will house a new Croissants Bistro and Bakery, and a new restaurant: Hook & Barrel. Coastal Structures, a full-service contractor in South Carolina, released images, drone video, and time-lapse video of the construction progress on the 8,000 square-foot building. Both restaurants are owned by Heidi Vukov, who currently owns and operates the Croissants Bakery and Bistro on 38th Avenue North. That location is staying where it is, and the new Croissants will be a little bigger. Hook and Barrel is a new dinner restaurant that will include many environmentally-responsible features. “We are going green. As green as we can for the times, I suppose you would say,” Vukov says. “So we are using a lot of super-tech equipment. Everything is electric, there will be no gas in either kitchen. This is a cleaner way to cook.” Coastal Structures announced that they are looking forward to a grand opening for the new building in June.
